We've found that the quality of our GT-3 Series printer is very fine, giving us a higher quality with more detail that resembles photographic quality.

“In the first three months that we have been operating our Brother™ GT-3 Series garment printer, we have been able to efficiently and cost effectively produce very small runs of shirts in multiple colors,” says Shawn Greathouse, President of Greathouse Screen Printing, San Diego. “We’ve found that the quality of our GT-3 Series printer is very fine, giving us a higher quality with more detail that resembles photographic quality.”

“Our turnaround is very tight,” says Greathouse. “We’re able to produce short runs of 12 to 24 pieces with eight colors very efficiently with the Brother™ GT-3 garment printer.”

“Prior to owning the GT-3 printer, we had no direct-to-garment machine and we needed a cost-effective solution to produce smaller runs,” says Greathouse. “Now with the GT-3 Series garment printer, we can offer an all-in-one solution. We queue up the jobs and let them fly.”

“The ability to print with white ink on the Brother™ GT-3 printer was an important feature for us,” says Greathouse. “I waited for that particular feature and I’m glad that I did. It makes the machine more robust for us. We’re finding that more new customers and designers are using white ink in their t-shirt designs.”

“The Brother™ GT-3 printer is an extremely easy machine to train employees to use,” says Greathouse. “Ease-of-use is extremely important. We have a large corporate customer base with specific logos and colors. It is extremely important that we reproduce those colors correctly and the GT-3 series provides an extremely easy method for our operators.”

“For my customer base, I am able to produce small quantities of t-shirts and deliver the highest quality of color that they demand without breaking the bank and saving hundreds of dollars,” says Greathouse. “The Brother™ GT-3 printer has opened up doors to new clients with smaller jobs that we couldn’t cost-effectively produce in the past. With the GT-3 garment printer, we can now cost-effectively produce those jobs.”

Greathouse Screen Printing is a San Diego-based t-shirt and customized apparel manufacturer and digital printer led by Shawn Greathouse. The firm was looking for an all-in-one cost-effective solution to produce high-quality, short-run t-shirt and apparel work for its customer base. Greathouse believed that if he could find a machine that could produce small short-run color jobs in a short turnaround time, he would have a new additional customer stream and be able to generate even more revenue.

Another important feature that Greathouse desired was the ability to print with white ink on apparel. Greathouse specifically waited for that particular feature because he is finding that more new customers and designers are using white ink in their t-shirt designs.

When Greathouse visited the ISS trade show in Long Beach, California in early January of 2012, he purposely spent a lot of time at the Brother™ booth investigating the new GT-3 Series digital garment printer. After watching the machine produce t-shirts, he was so impressed that he placed his order on the spot.

With GT-3 printer, we can now cost-effectively produce those jobs. Plus, we’ve found that the quality of our GT-3 printer is very fine, giving us a higher quality with more detail that resembles photographic quality.”
