Throughout it's nearly 10 years in business in Southern California, ColorStitch, Inc., has had to adapt to a changing market and customer demands. Fred Garcia, its president, has built his business on superior personalized service and excellent word-of-mouth even as some business has moved off-shore and volume has diminished to shorter run lengths. Garcia's current roster of clients includes marketing and promotional firms as well as direct sales with local small and mid-size businesses to provide a fair price and high quality garments.
To continue to answer his client's needs for high quality and fast turnaround, Garcia installed the Brother GT-3 digital garment printer in September 2012 after seeing its introduction at the Long Beach, CA show earlier that year.
"We have gained a great reputation for producing apparel of the highest quality and best value and providing our customers with fast delivery," says Garcia. "We believe that direct-to-garment printing on our Brother GT-3 series digital printer is an innovative process that provides a lot of benefits for us and our customers. Unlike screen-printing, direct-to-garment digital printing requires minimal set-up process or color separation, enabling the use of many colors without added costs. In addition, direct print does not chip or peel away, and low minimum quantities and image-ready garments make fast delivery possible."
Garcia adds that Brother™ has provided excellent customer support from its installation through training and whenever the company has questions. "The Brother team has known our business for many years and has worked with us to ensure our success," says Garcia.
"The GT-3 digital garment printer helps save us time and its features are a great help to our business," says Walter Grijalva, Press Operator at ColorStitch, Inc. "As I print different pieces of artwork on garments, the GT-3 printer saves those images to a file and when the customer asks for more garments, I can easily locate that image and reprint the garments. The GT-3 is virtually click-and-go!"
"Many of our customers in Southern California require eco-friendly products and are very attuned to the environment," says Grijalva. "The GT-3 uses water-based inks that are non-toxic. It enables us to say yes to our customers and supply them with garments printed in an environmentally-friendly method."
"One of the greatest aspects of having the new GT-3 Series printer is being able to print a garment in a single pass," says Grijalva. "The GT-3 Series printer allows us to print both CMYK and white ink printing simultaneously for higher productivity. It is a huge help to our business because it makes our turnaround much faster."
"The whole process has changed for us since we installed the GT-3 printer. We are able to offer a brighter and more vivid garment than before," says Grijalva.
"The GT-3 printer was built with user-friendly operations in mind. To make any changes, it is a very simple setting. I can make changes on-the-fly as I am producing a garment," says Grijalva.
"We advertise that we offer an innovative process like direct-to-garment digital printing using our Brother GT-3 printer," says Garcia. "Unlike screen printing, direct-to-garment digital printing doesn't require extensive set-up process or color separation, enabling the use of many colors without added costs. In addition, direct print does not chip or peel away, and low minimum quantities and image-ready garments make fast delivery possible."
"We've been keeping the GT-3 printer operating every day especially with the production of white ink on dark shirts," says Garcia. "It produces a high quality shirt. We even printed a full-color image on a hat* that satisfied our client. The Brother GT-3 printer does what it says it will do!"
